She thinks my general knowledge about world events sucks. It really does (which is why I don't even know what the election in Australia is for, haha). D: But I don't have the same reasons as you for not watching. I just don't think it's interesting, and since doing a unit on "Truth" in my last year of high school, I have hated the media with a passion. They simply exaggerate and make a big deal out of what would be otherwise normal occurrences, just to get viewers on television and to get attention. :| I do read a bit of new on the internet but I must stress that it is only a bit! I hate summer as well. In Australia it gets really hot and it just makes me really restless. =_= Not to mention... to-do lists! Which I have a lot of. It looked interesting and everybody was talking about it. So I watched it to see what all the hub bub was about and now I love them. :) You have to try somethign for yourself to see what it's like first instead of letting people make up your mind for you.
