Writing, Graphics and a Boyfriend

Posted By on July 13, 2010

I finally finished writing all 7 articles about How to Make a Blogging Character. I would appreciate if you read through the guide and leave your opinion, as I worked hard on each piece, and I did my best to make it all easy to understand and apply. :)

About my short-story collection e-book, you can now read a sample chapter – a short story titled “Scrapped” – at this link: books.luanaspinetti.com/samples/scrapped. I hope to get the next two short stories – their drafts – done by the end of August. I’m going to put all my energies at work to finish them. ^^ I’d love to be able to publish the e-book by the end of the year. Oh that would be so wonderful an achievement!

Graphics-wise, I made two layouts for Luly.in and Robo.licious.org (two new sites of mine, a project/collective site and an anime/manga review one). Luly.in features an old illustration of mine in the header:

Today Simmy has been over for lunch. :) My parents seem to like him very much, and I’m happy with that, because I adore it that my family appreciates and loves my Soulmate. And Simone is a true angel. Yesterday morning I went to university to encourage him to do an exam, and after he was done, we went to Termini station to eat at McDonald’s, and to the cinema to watch Toy Story 3. Both of us ended up crying, for Andy and for the toys. But I won’t spoil the story here: go watch the movie if you wish to know. ;)

I love the layout on robo.licious.org, not to mention the domain name is super sweet!

I haven’t read the last three articles but I updated myself on two instalments (email and hosting). I have to agree with the Gmail preference because Gmail has been amazing to me the several months I’ve used it! :) And I have to agree with all the tips of having an active email with lots of space. Gmail is not just good for characters but us as well!

I remember someone applying for hosting with me a while back saying that they were creating a character blog. At that time I wasn’t comfortable with it, so I rejected them and they understood. I’m glad you mentioned that in the article!

I’m glad your parents are accepting of Simmy! That is always lovely when a family member can accept the ones you love too.

No need to apologise about the email! I trust that you read it and that in itself means a lot. <33

Yeah, I love having time with friends. The glory of summer time (: My mom cleans up everyday but my grandmother does her “spring cleaning” everyday. It’s scary when we go visit her because her house is always clean, like those model houses in rich neighborhoods. I’m scared to touch anything d:

Thank you for your comment. I really appreciated it. :) I feel like the cerebral palsy doesn’t affect the babysitting too much, but it is why she can’t get her own food and some stuff. I know I just said this, but I really, really appreciated your comment. :)

My friends told me how Toy Story 3 ended because I would probably never see it (I wasn’t really interested).

I didn’t read all of your articles–I just glimpsed–but I think you did a really good job of writing them! I’ve been wondering how you were able to come up with all those characters. Maybe I should try it… I don’t intend to blog as a character, but I think it would be a good creative exercise. ^_^

Awesome layouts! They look really nice. I have yet to make one for my new fanlisting. :p

I cant access the site for the articles and I don’t know why. Probably a downtime on my part. I’ll check it again in a few hours. :D

I haven’t gone to see Toy Story 3 though my youngest sister is already pestering everyone to take her to watch it. XD

Hahaha! I know having a monarchy may seem like a fairy-tale to those who are not familiar with it but for me, it doesn’t affect our lives too much. We just don’t have that much of Freedom of Speech.

It’s pretty much the same here. We can’t bad-mouth the royalties or the government, or we’ll suffer from dire consequences. It’s something that the people here have to learn and live with. Which is why, if you ever get the chance to see them yourself, you won’t see the media here saying/writing anything that are controversial or anything that can rouse those parties’ anger.

This is of course, coming from my point of view. There’s more to this than what I’ve just said so please don’t take this in negative light. :)
