Ah, there’s a thing I want to tell you guys about the paid blogging issue: no matter what FTC regulations say, if you really purchased a certain product and feel like giving a word out about it on your blog, GO AHEAD and do it! There is no reason to be scared, seriously. They just want people to be honest and not write biased reviews. Sometimes you can read the product reviews on article sites to get an idea; you can find more neutral articles too, and some have been written by people who directly used a certain product. It’s just important to never spam, and never ‘advertise’ something. But writing opinions online is a RIGHT of every Internet citizen. Nobody can close your mouth shut, okay?

And since we’re in topic of reviews: I read some nice ones about cellphones and birthday cards if you wish to take a look. They’re nice readings, useful for your visitor section too, to get more ideas. Heh, the web is a real big resource to add more stuff to our little sites. ^^

So anyway, I’m continuing my studies. I managed to pay the 2nd semester fee with my own earnings, and that was so satisfying! I can finally say I’m proud of myself, hehe. I hope I’ll make it to pass those Calculus and Discrete Mathematics exams before March 2011, so I can go on with the other ones and get my degree in 3-4 years. Please God, assist me!

This last week and half has been pretty busy and tiresome to me, but now it’s been 2 days that I’m resting and enjoying my time and I feel a lot better. More energy equals better work on working days, right? ;P Hehe. I’ve spent a good time updating my characters’ websites too, and I’m getting more and more affectionate to them and to all the bloggers who are being nice and friendly to them Aww thank you sweeties!

Last night I’ve been at my best friend’s, Cristina We spent a good evening chit chatting between us, venting and ranting on each other, laughing, and it’s always so good around her x3 My best friend is like a sister to me, this year it will be 10 years of friendship between us, so you know… we’re grown up together We feel a lot more like family than friends by now. I wish her all the best with her boyfriend and her family situation, and I really hope things will get better for her. Don’t give up, Cri!

Least but not last, I want to announce my latest domain name N0T.INFO!!!!
Weird name, isn’t it? XD I registered it like this for two reasons: 1) I want it to be my technology/internet/SEO blog, so it had to be a serious-ish but funny at the same time name ; 2) I want to make “free domains” with it, like luana.n0t.info! Eheh! What do you think? Isn’t it nice? ^^ I wanted to get a n0t.me one but .me domains are too expensive for my budget so I didn’t buy that one.

Anyway, since we are in topic already… I have been pondering – and sis Jhoice knows that, as I told her on YM once! – about this for some time, and I’ve come up with the firm belief that advertisers should just stop looking at blogs’ Pagerank and start considering other things like: web traffic (Alexa is a good indicator), blog activity, quality of posts (which includes spelling and grammar) and – for a change… maybe Yahoo WebRank? Oh I think MSN will come up with its own sooner or later, you’ll see… LOL! Seriously, I’ve seen very good blogs with a PR0; how can advertisers be so blind? I think they should take the factors I listed above in more consideration than the simple Google’s opinion. Google has power on the web, but we are the ones who have power on our websites, and selling links is not a crime: it just needs to be done with criterion, and seriously. Because of course, a blog that sounds like a spam bin will tend to be avoided, and not just by Google: what do we do when a TV channel we are watching is practically all spots and adverts and no real content to entertain us? We turn it off! Now, the same thing happens on the web, and if people start “turning off” our blogs and unless we’re blogging privately for a small elite of invited readers… what’s the point of keeping a blog like that? I’ve made my own mistakes in the past too, when I was still a newbie with paid reviews and they did sound spammy and advert-looking. I’ve improved since then, my reviews are now better blended with my site content and posts: practically, only half of the post is a review now; the rest is my stuff Still, as you know, Google penalised my Honey-Babe.net blog more than a year ago, by dropping my PR to 0 and thus drastically reducing the number of my links on Google searches. Which sucks, seriously. Now that all of this happened, I want to tell my fellow advertisers (because I think on the net we are all fellows, after all): next time it’ll be better for you (yeah, for you! not just for me) allowing a simple rel=nofollow to be added to your link: my site won’t pass PR to you of course, but it will pass traffic and knowledge, and so increasing your notoriety. Sounds good, doesn’t it? That, and please, value activity, quality and traffic more than the little green bar on Google Toolbar. Please. You’re loosing a lot like that (because your link will disappear from Google index together with my post!), and we bloggers do as well (because we get less opps = less money). Besides, G is not the only important search engine around. So, let’s do this together for everyone’s safety, ok?

Alright, I’m done with the rant ^^ I hope this post will be read and understood by the ones I addressed directly and the other bloggers too, as active and well-written blogs always pay. Always.

I’ve been to the cinema last weekend, to watch Wall-E :3 The cutest, sweetest robot ever designed for a movie x3 After Johnny 5, eheh! I really enjoyed every second of the movie, especially when Wall-E tried to court Eve (his robotic love ) and didn’t succeed at first. Poor sweetie! xD Well, I’m not gonna tell you how it ended, you gotta watch it for yourself ;3 I can’t wait for the DVD to be released!! No matter how much it costs, I’m gonna get one

To keep in topic of robots, I bought my (soon-to-be-adopted) son Red Alert a .info domain! CuddlyBot.info Hehe. And MilkBerries.org for my little Sparkplug, whose domain was gifted to me by the sweet Anamei :3 Thanks dear! Nice huh? More characters, more fun! XD Please check them out. Also, I want to thank all of you who commented on my last post, leaving words of love and encouragement. I did let it out at last, I did cry… but just for a bit, just to let the pain out. Last Saturday I couldn’t go to the beach with my sister once again The reason? A very bad thunderstorm. It has been raining all day, the sky was all gray and cut by scary lightenings, and it was very cold. So well, we stayed at home and had fun with what we have here. Not bad ^^

Then on Sunday the weather was sunny again in the morning, so I went at Church with my best friend Cristina. It was nice to go with her again, and be a part of the choir once again too. I missed it so much. Also, we had breakfast together before going, like we used to do years ago when we were younger. Lubya, Cri!!! Time spent with you is always the best! Then in the evening I watched a movie with my sister, “Peter Pan” interpreted by Robin Williams. It was adorable and I just wish I could watch it again But unfortunately the VHS wasn’t ours, but her boyfriend’s, so we need to look for it on Ebay or at the store. I hope they have it! :nod:

So babes… I’m just so sorry for not updating before, but I’ve been kind of busy these past few days. Been working on my art commissions, on drawings for my characters and their blogs. I just got another translating assignment from my “boss” too, so the next two days will just be a global headache for me XD lol! Oh yeah, and I have two pending opps to get done withing tomorrow.

Also, if you noticed I changed layout Hehe. It’s a premade one from Blogskins.com, and it was meant to be used on Blogger, but I edited the codes to make it into a WP theme. A real headache trust me, because the designer’s codes were kind of messy and I had to fix some stuff, but now it looks awesome XD I’ll be using this layout until I fully restyle and fix an old pixel layout I made years ago. I just found it again and it’s so lovely but it needs fixes *coughs* Yeah, my inspiration to make a new layout is a round ZERO right now, so I’ll just be working on restyling that one. Don’t hit me on the head, heh

Work on translations is done, even though it’s been a pain with this terrible heat and humidity ;.; That, and the stress for many other things (relationship included). Overall, I’ve been paid and I’m really satisfied with it! ^.^

I increased the dosage of the medicament I take for my thyroid (Eutirox) for two days because I haven’t gotten my period in 4 months and I’m terribly worried about it. But – alas – it didn’t work! I hope I can have children in the future… because of this hormonal ‘dance’. I’m gonna try again with a machine I used in past to loose weight that stimulates my metabolism and thyroid. And let’s see…

Anyhow, it’s so hot that at night I don’t eat anymore now. I eat a little more at lunch and at around 4 pm and that’s all about it. I hope this will help me with loosing some weight and the period problem too. I’ve been trying everything and this is my last resort ;.;

Tonight I’m gonna reply all comments and tags. Sorry for not having updated before, but two days ago, at night, I had a pizza with my best friend and some of my chorus people, and it was loads of fun X3

Yesterday I re-upload ALL of the old content on the Guest section and I’m working on some free pixel frames (like the one I used for my Valentines gift) for all of my visitors I’m also willing to make all of my old div layouts I used for Mother-Soul.com into WordPress Themes, but that’s a long process and it will take some weeks to be done. I’ll put the Layouts page up when I got at least one read ;]
